Crimes against residents of Kurdish villages in occupied Afrin

The Turkish occupation mercenaries (Al-Amshat and Al-Hamzat) have kidnapped dozens of residents of Aqiba village in the occupied city of Afrin, and they took a woman to Turkish territories while imposing ransoms of up to $2,000 USD for the release of each person.

As part of the series of crimes and violations committed by the Turkish occupation mercenaries (Al-Amshat and Al-Hamzat) against the residents of occupied Afrin, and after occupying the remaining villages of Sherawa on the 1st of December, they committed massacres that disgrace humanity.

According to multiple sources from Aqiba village, which was occupied by the Turkish occupation mercenaries (Al-Amshat and Al-Hamzat), the mercenaries have carried out inhumane crimes, including beating and mistreating citizens because of their Kurdish identity, in addition to kidnapping a large number of villagers, especially women.

Among the kidnapped is citizen Amina Sheikh Muhammad Mustafa (33 years old) from Aqiba village. She is married and has no children. She was initially taken to one of the mercenary headquarters, and then transferred to a prison in Turkish territories because of her Kurdish identity.

The mercenaries demanded $2,000 USD from the villagers for each kidnapped person in exchange for their release. If the ransom is not paid, the kidnapped individuals would be subjected to torture, with videos of the torture sent to their families to exert pressure.

Additionally, all homes in the village, without exception, were looted and robbed in front of their owners, under the threat of being killed if they resisted. This has been the situation in all villages entered by the mercenaries.
