Continued security tension in rural Daraa

Security tensions have persisted in eastern rural Daraa since last night, with the deployment of local armed factions and security forces in the city of Busra al-Sham. Forces from the Damascus government have also begun moving toward the city and its countryside, demanding that individuals surrender themselves amid reports that some are complying.

Members of the "General Security" affiliated with the Damascus government carried out an arrest campaign in the town of al-Jiza, targeting members of the Fifth Corps (a local military force) affiliated with Ahmed Al-Ouda.

A directive was also issued in the town of Jabab, ordering all individuals affiliated with the Fifth Corps to surrender their weapons to the town’s police station within a maximum of two hours. A curfew was imposed, and residents were instructed to remain in their homes. The directive stated that failure to comply would lead to "legal prosecution."

Groups from the "General Security" continue to be stationed in several areas and towns near Busra al-Sham, which is the main center of the Fifth Corps, according to the Syrian Observatory.

Since last night, local security and military forces (the Fifth Corps) have spread throughout the streets of Busra al-Sham and imposed a curfew. The city also witnessed an attack on a group from the Damascus government forces.
