Confessions of ISIS cell recruited in Damascus, receives support from Ras al-Ayn

Confessions of an ISIS mercenary cell, recruited by a person residing in Damascus, and receiving logistical and material support from a leader residing in the occupied city of Ras al-Ayn (Serê Kaniyê), revealed their intention to carry out attacks against military and security forces in the North and East Syria Region.

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) of the North and East Syria Region dismantled a cell belonging to ISIS mercenaries involved in carrying out attacks against security and military forces in the area.

The cell consisted of Bashar Hamad Khalifa from the city of Hasaka and Hatem Eid al-Jassem from the village of Tel Arfan in the Hasaka city, as both of them were arrested by the General Security Service. During interrogations, the two mercenaries confessed to targeting vehicles and fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces.

Their confessions revealed that the cell was recruited by a man named Qaddafi, known as "Abo Muammar," residing in Damascus, who connected the cell with another individual named "Abo Asad al-Ghalizi," who lives in the Turkish-occupied city of Ras al-Ayn and is considered one of the leaders of ISIS cells in the region. Al-Ghalizi was responsible for supplying the cell with weapons, mines, sums of money, and the coordinates of the targeted locations.
