80th Division elements target civilians, leave injuries

The Turkish-backed mercenaries of the 80th Division of the Syrian Transitional Government Forces targeted residents of the village of Jub Abyad, north of Deir Hafer, with light and medium weapons on Thursday afternoon, resulting in civilian casualties, according to local sources.

Activists circulated videos showing the mercenaries firing at residents gathered near makeshift oil refineries, a scene that poses a significant threat to the lives of the entire village.

This attack comes just two days after the killing of the citizen Abdullah al-Moussa at the hands of mercenaries in the same village, as part of a series of ongoing violations occurring daily in the southern Manbij and northern Deir Hafer countryside, occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries. These violations include murders, shootings, and the burning of civilian property.

The region is experiencing increasing unrest as a result of the escalation of these crimes and the absence of any deterrent for their perpetrators. While residents launched a massive demonstration in the center of Manbij, warning that the continuation of these violations will lead to open confrontations between the residents and the mercenaries, especially given the complex tribal nature of the region.
