Committee formed to follow up on detainees’ files, return of IDPs 

The commander in the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), Mahmoud Khalil, said today via his account on the platform (X): "As part of an official visit to the capital Damascus, we had the honor to respond to an invitation from His Excellency the President, accompanied by Al-Hasakah Governor Mr. Nour al-Din Ahmad and the commander of the Internal Security Forces in Al-Hasakah Governorate, Brigadier Marwan al-Ali, to participate in lighting the Newroz flame and exchanging congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Newroz, at the People’s Palace, in the presence of delegations and representatives from various segments of society.

A special meeting was then held with President Ahmad al-Sharaa, during which several important issues were discussed, foremost among them the detainees’ file and the file of the return of displaced persons to the cities of Afrin and Sere Kaniye, as well as other areas.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the necessity of implementing all provisions of the January 29 agreement, which is considered one of our priorities at the current stage. By directive of President Ahmad al-Sharaa, a special committee was formed to follow up on these files, with the aim of establishing clear working mechanisms to address the issues raised and to strengthen the path of stability in the country."
