DEIR-EZ-ZOR
ANAS MOHMMED,

The Damascus government forces and the "National Defense" mercenaries launched an attack on the cities and towns of the eastern countryside of Deir –ez-Zor in the late hours of Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, using heavy and light weapons, which led to the martyrdom of two civilians and the injury of seven others.

Regarding the details of the attack that was launched on the village of al-Latwa, affiliated with the town of Dhiban in Deir-ez-Zor canon in particular, the father of one of the two martyrs who lost their lives as a result of the attack, Jalal al-Hattab, narrated those moments to us.

He said: "In the last third of the night, we heard nothing but the sound of shells raining down on our town in Dhiban intensively, until a shell fell in the middle of my house and my son Imad al-Hattab, 25 years old, was killed in this shelling."

Al-Hattab continued: "My cousin's daughter, Bushoosh Sattam al-Dawas, 20 years old, was seriously injured in the same shelling and was transferred to a hospital in Hasakah, but her condition is very critical."

With a face filled with anger and sadness, the martyr's father repeated: "Why are we being shelled while we are in our homes? Where can we go? Haven't we had enough of displacement and wars? But they don't want us to live in peace and stability."

The homes and properties of the residents adjacent to his house were also severely damaged.
