Candle lighting in Garkê Legê marks leader Ocalan’s birthday

Kongra Star and the PYD organized a mass event in the city of Garkê Legê on the occasion of the approaching birthday of leader Abdullah Ocalan, with the participation of members of the Asayish and Kongra Star, amid an atmosphere of engagement and enthusiasm.

The event included decorating the leader’s name with flowers and lighting candles around it, as a symbolic expression of loyalty and appreciation.

Prior to the start of the event, party administrator Ayhan Murad delivered a speech congratulating the leader on the occasion, stating that “the leader’s birth is the birth of peace and love, and the beginning of a path to end injustice against peoples,” noting that his goal was to promote the values of democracy and coexistence among different components.

Murad added: “As women, we are indebted to leader Abdullah Öcalan for his major role in bringing women from darkness into the light,” affirming their commitment to continue along his path and philosophy.

Participants also chanted pro-leader slogans, most notably “No life without the leader,” while the event featured rounds of traditional dance that added a celebratory atmosphere to the occasion.
