Calls to support besieged Kobani

Sheikh Nabi Hami, one of those in charge of Sheikh Association, spoke to our agency about the humanitarian aid they are collecting and distributing to residents.

Sheikh Nabi Hami explained that five people are working together to collect and distribute aid, saying:

“Yesterday, we began distributing infant milk. We are carrying out this work through the association to support our people and alleviate their suffering. As is known, the city of Kobani is besieged from all sides, and everything has become scarce. Therefore, we saw it as necessary to start distributing infant milk, and we began doing so yesterday.”

He added that the association was established to serve the people, stressing:

“We are always at the service of our people, and we will not hesitate to provide whatever we can. Kobani has been under a severe siege for more than a week, forcing residents to live under harsh conditions. We are working to distribute basic life necessities according to the available resources.”

In conclusion, Sheikh Nabi Hami issued an appeal to all free people and lovers of freedom to stand by the people of Kobani, emphasizing that residents are going through a critical phase under this suffocating siege, and calling for urgent support and assistance.
