Berdan Ozturk:  march against isolation will be held on November 18

The work of the Democratic Community Congress (DBP) conference continues in the meantime with speeches, where the co-chair of the Democratic Community Congress (KCD), Berdan Ozturk, spoke after the co-chairs of the Democratic Community Party (DBP), Saliha Aydiz and Keskin Baydar, and Ozturk greeted the participants, noting until the Treaty of Lausanne had passed for an entire century, he said that the Kurds had been marginalized in Lausanne, but they were waging resistance in this period in the face of massacres and attacks.

Ozturk stated that the mentality that says, “There are no Kurds, and if they exist, they are there to serve the Turks,” had continued at this time through the “defeat plan,” and announced that there was an attempt aimed at making the Kurds without will and without recognition. Ozturk explained that all the attacks that were carried out against the geography of Kurdistan was to achieve this purpose, and he said in this regard: “You have committed everything, and they said ten years ago, ‘We will eliminate them,’ but they were not able to eliminate them, and this hall gives you this message: We demand an honorable life, and we demand freedom, we do not demand freedom only for ourselves, but for the sake of all oppressed peoples in the Middle East. Today, we see how people are being killed in Palestine, and we know who is committing massacres against civilians, women and children, and the reason for this is due to the mentality of the nation-state, and we affirm that this is not solution."

The march towards Kemlik

Ozturk expressed his dissatisfaction with the absolute isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “Abdullah Ocalan has always become the voice of peace and freedom, as many meetings have taken place since 1993, and everyone has experienced the results of these meetings, and we have seen in these meetings that it is possible to reach a solution that isolated from the nation-state, but there has been severe isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan since April 5, 2021, and this isolation is against democracy, equal life and freedom, and for this reason, we will begin with the “Freedom March” on November 18, from all parts of Turkey towards Kemlik, those who demand democracy and freedom must participate in this march, and this isolation cannot be accepted, as isolation is against democracy and freedom. As long as this isolation continues, we will continue to resist, and our struggle for the freedom of Leader Ocalan will continue, and we will announce our position regarding this matter to the whole world.
