Axios: Washington preparing plan to form international force to be deployed in Gaza

An American news outlet revealed that Washington is working on a plan to establish an international force to be deployed in the Gaza Strip in the coming weeks, which includes training a new Palestinian police force. Meanwhile, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan have expressed their readiness to participate.

The American news website “Axios” reported today that Washington is preparing a plan to form an international force to be deployed in the Gaza Strip.

The site revealed that the U.S. plan for deploying an international force in Gaza will be finalized “within weeks,” adding that it “includes training a new Palestinian police force.”

According to Axios, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan “have expressed their willingness to participate in the international force in Gaza.”

The report noted that the United States, with support from European countries, Turkey, and other states such as Indonesia and Azerbaijan, is preparing to deploy a multinational stabilization force in Gaza.

In this context, the French Foreign Minister said in a media interview last night:

“We are currently working in New York, at the United Nations, together with American teams, to ensure that a mandate is granted to this international force to secure Gaza.”
