Multiple media sources reported that the International Coalition forces were on a mission to review a plan to combat ISIS mercenaries, while American helicopters intervened to evacuate the injured to the Tanf base after they were shot at.

In the same context, unconfirmed information has emerged that one of the ISIS mercenaries, currently part of the transitional government forces in Syria, detonated himself with an explosive belt when the American forces reached a meeting point with the transitional government forces. This was followed by the coalition convoy being targeted with heavy gunfire.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported extensive low-altitude flights by American warplanes over the city of Palmyra, following the sound of gunfire, with the American delegation leaving quickly without any official explanations.

The observatory noted that an American delegation toured the city of Palmyra this morning in a notable move, as it visited the ancient city for the first time since its intervention in Syria to combat ISIS mercenaries.

Videos circulated showing the International Coalition flying at low altitude in the sky over Palmyra, amid reports of it completely closing the airspace.
