Khabour underscored the complex and sensitive situation in Syria, revealing that many hidden files from the era of the Ba'athist regime—which has imposed its rule for over half a century—are now surfacing, exposing the roots of the current crisis. She declared:  “With the collapse of the regime’s absolute grip, we have entered a defining phase. This moment demands political awareness and wisdom. We must rise above narrow personal interests and commit to the principle of the brotherhood of peoples. This is the only way to shape a just and democratic future for Syria and the people of North and East Syria.”

Addressing the ongoing aggression by the Turkish occupying state, Khabour denounced the intensifying attacks on cities and villages across the region. She highlighted that Turkey is using all its military technology—air and ground forces—to wage war, particularly targeting Kobani and its surroundings.

Yet, despite the relentless escalation of Turkish assaults, the people remain resolute: “The people of the region stand strong, with high morale and unshakable determination, bolstered by the steadfast support of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).”

Khabour concluded with a powerful message on the historic role of women in this revolutionary moment:  “Women have made the 21st century their own. This is the result of the philosophy of ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadî’ (Woman, Life, Freedom) that has inspired movements across the world. In this crucial phase, we—women who have achieved victories through unbreakable will and belief, and through the sacrifices of martyrs—must ensure that our struggle reaches every corner of the globe. We pledge to fulfill the dreams of those who gave their lives for freedom.”
