Arbitrary arrests target Kurdish citizens in Eastern Kurdistan

Iranian authorities launched a campaign targeting Kurdish civilians in Eastern Kurdistan amid rising regional tensions and ongoing confrontations with the United States and Israel for nearly a month.

According to the network, as cited by Rudaw News Agency, these actions are part of preemptive measures taken by Iranian authorities against Kurdish citizens.

The report stated that citizen Kiyanûş Adilpûr was arrested on March 26 in the city of Saqqez by agents from the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence. He was detained violently without a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

The intelligence forces reportedly conducted a violent search of his home, confiscated his mobile phone, and took his children with him.

In a similar case, on March 27, intelligence forces raided the home of citizen Şiwane Elîzade in the city of Mahabad and forcibly arrested him without judicial authorization.

The network’s statistics indicate that since the escalation between Iran and the United States began, more than ten Kurdish citizens have been arrested by Iranian intelligence forces, while Iranian sites and facilities have been subjected to attacks by the United States and Israel.
