Saudi Arabia today welcomed the agreement of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus authority, which was signed yesterday between the commander-in-chief of the forces, Mazloum Abdi, and Ahmed Al-Shara.
In a statement by its Foreign Ministry, Saudi Arabia praised the measures taken, reiterating its full support for Syria's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Qatar welcomed the agreement in a statement from its Foreign Ministry published yesterday.
The ministry said that the agreement is an important step towards consolidating civil peace, enhancing security and stability, and building a state of institutions and law.

In a related context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Jordan welcomed the agreement, describing it as "an important step towards rebuilding Syria on the foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty and stability, preserve its security, rid it of terrorism, and preserve the rights of all brotherly Syrian people."
Ministry spokesman Sufian al-Qudah stressed "Jordan's support for Syria, and its readiness to provide everything possible to support the Syrian people to overcome the transitional phase, which they want to be a historical starting point for rebuilding Syria, a free, stable and sovereign homeland, through a Syrian-Syrian process in which the various spectrums of the Syrian people participate, preserve all their rights, and protect them from chaos, strife and conflict."
