The session, which was held in the meeting room of the Democratic Autonomous Administration building in Raqqa, was attended by the presidential body of the People's Democratic Council, members of the people's councils in the 7 cantons, the co-presidency of the Local Administrations and Municipalities Authority, and the co-presidency of the High Elections Commission.

The session began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by reading the draft administrative divisions law. The draft law included five articles, including administrative divisions for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region, administrative divisions for each canton, and the creation of administrative units.

The five articles of the law were read separately to be discussed and the necessary changes be made, whether regulatory or legal. Among the changes, the city of Kobani became a large city instead of a city.

Each article was voted on separately, after which the members of the Peoples’ Democratic Assembly fully approved the articles of the law and it became effective.

The People's Assembly also approved Shahrban Jawish from Manbij canton and Newroz Saleh from the Euphrates Province as members of the High Elections Commission in North and East Syria.

During the session, the Council approved a letter submitted by the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration appointing Khalaf Al-Matar as head of the Education Authority in the North and East Syria region.

After voting on the members and the books that were presented, the members took the oath in front of the audience to begin their work.
