The Autonomous Administration's statement came on the occasion of International Workers' Day, which falls on May 1, during which it affirmed its complete determination to struggle to develop society on the basis of the unity of its competencies and energies.

She also said: “Workers are among the foundation pillars in building society. Workers have a long history in building and developing society, and they have the optimal role in the processes of construction, liberation, and adopting the form of self-intellectual and societal production.”

The statement stated:

“Over the course of many decades, workers have been exposed, and continue to be, to all kinds of denial in the form of the usual global model, where workers, despite their pioneering role, have been transformed into production tools only, and their rights in various fields have been confiscated and undermined, which leads to workers also being vulnerable to the practiced form of genocide and its form based on making... The individual is surrounded by forms that deny his role and existence.

On International Workers’ Day and on their most important day, we extend our congratulations to all the workers of North and East Syria and all Syrian workers and the world, stressing that workers are an essential pillar of society’s liberation and self-building, and with their sacrifices and effort, society is built because they form and from their place - that is, the workers - the solid foundation of strength and structure. They contribute to developing aspects of progress at all levels, as we in the Democratic Autonomous-Administration affirm.
