Announcement of date for the conference “Unity of Stance for the components of NE, Syria

The components of North and East Syria  including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs-Assyrians, Armenians, Yazidis, Turkmens, and Circassians will hold the conference “Unity of Stance for the Components of North and East Syria” on Friday, August 8, under the slogan “Together for Diversity that Strengthens Our Unity, and Partnership that Builds Our Future,” according to the preparatory committee of the conference.

According to Jwan Mala Ibrahim, a member of the committee and co-chair of the Media Office of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the committee, which consists of about 20 members representing the region’s components from all canton of the region, has been preparing for the conference since June 2025.

Mala Ibrahim stated yesterday that attempts to sow discord among the Syrian people have intensified following the collapse of the Baath regime. Therefore, these components aim, through the conference, to affirm their unity and adopt a unified vision for building a decentralized and democratic Syria.

Invitations have been extended to prominent social, cultural, religious, and academic figures to attend the conference, which is expected to include between 400 and 500 delegates.

The conference will discuss the draft being prepared by the preparatory committee and will conclude with a final statement.
