Families of detainees from Rojava called for accelerating the discussion of the detainees’ file held by the Syrian Interim Government and working to secure their release as soon as possible. (Photos and video attached).

Women of the city of Jal Agha expressed their categorical rejection of attempts to exclude the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) from the army, stressing that this step ignores the vital role of the units in protecting the region and women from attacks. They affirmed that strengthening the presence of the units within the army represents an essential step toward empowering women and maintaining security and stability in Syria. A European parliamentarian following Syrian affairs stressed the need to end the siege imposed on Kobani and hold those responsible for crimes against civilians accountable. He noted that the Syrian Interim Government’s lack of commitment to implementing these provisions, as well as obstacles related to recognizing the achievements of Rojava, hinder the implementation of the 29 January Agreement.

The Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council stressed that the return of all displaced persons and refugees must take place within a framework that guarantees security, the dignity of residents, and the restoration of their property. She warned that any violations against returnees within the first group of displaced people from Afrin could negatively affect the implementation of the agreement, emphasizing that the return of all displaced people to their original areas is a fundamental condition for enhancing stability in Syria. Residents of Derik will hold a funeral procession for a group of martyrs from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to their final resting place at Martyr Khabat Shrine in Derik at 10:00. (Photos and video attached).

Residents of Qamishlo will hold a funeral procession for the bodies of five martyrs from the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women’s Protection Units, to their final resting place at Martyr Delil Saroukhan Shrine at 12:00. (Photos and video attached).

In rejection and protest against the Syrian Interim Government appointing a person not from the region as an official for Kobani, residents of the city will hold a demonstration starting from Free Woman Square at 12:00. (Photos and video attached).
