Students in the city of Hasakah affirmed that the Kurdish language is an essential part of their cultural and educational identity. They rejected the decision to reduce Kurdish-language instruction to three hours per week and called on the relevant authorities to reconsider the decision and ensure the continuation of their right to learn in their mother tongue through the advanced stages of education. Syrian families are resorting to austerity as a last resort for survival amid a sharp rise in fuel prices, which has directly affected living costs. Stoves have become an alternative to gas, second-hand clothing has replaced heating diesel, while food has come to take priority over education and healthcare. (Photos and video attached).

Residents of neighborhoods in the city of Hasakah complain about the continued interruption or irregular supply of water from the Alouk water station, forcing them to rely on water tankers to meet their daily needs amid rising costs. The price of a 1,000-liter water tank has reached approximately 75,000 Syrian pounds, while some families spend around 300,000 Syrian pounds per month to secure water. The Hasakah Electricity Company has completed approximately 70 percent of the rehabilitation work on the damaged power grid, in preparation for gradually restoring electricity to the city’s neighborhoods after an outage lasting more than two years. Residents of neighborhoods where the work has been completed are receiving six hours of electricity supply per day, while the installation of electronic meters is set to begin in the coming days. (Photos and video attached).

The Qamishlo Council of the Congress of Democratic Islam is organizing a scholarly lecture entitled “The Role of Ahl al-Bayt in Reforming Societies” at Ahmad al-Jaziri Mosque (Al-Shallah) in the city of Qamishlo, at 10:00. (Photos and video attached).

The Council of Martyrs’ Families in Tirbespi is organizing a commemoration ceremony for 81 martyrs, men and women from the city, who lost their lives during July, August, and September throughout the various years of the struggle.
