Aleppo women lead protest in support of Syrian coast 

The march was organized by Kongra Star in Aleppo to protest the violations and massacres committed against civilians in the Syrian coast. Residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, along with members of civil institutions and political parties, participated under the leadership of women.

The march started in front of the March 8th Hall in Sheikh Maqsoud. Participants carried Kongra Star flags and banners reading "We demand accountability for criminals," "We are stronger than death," and "We stand with women in the Syrian coast."

The demonstrators marched through the main streets of the neighborhood, chanting slogans such as "Women, Life, Freedom" and "Women are life… don’t kill life," until they reached Martyr Guli Salmo Roundabout. There, they observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs.

Following the march, Mona Kabak, a member of Kongra Star's Relations Committee, addressed the motives behind the violations and crimes committed against women in the Syrian coast under false pretexts. She explained that these crimes aim to break the will and determination of women.

Mona stressed the need for women to unite, strengthen their role in various fields, and resist all forms of violence against them.

Meanwhile, Meyada Arabo, a member of the Democratic Union Party's Training Committee, spoke about the recent events in the region following the fall of the Ba'ath Party regime on December 8, 2024. She highlighted the political changes that followed and the crimes and violations that occurred in the Syrian coast, particularly targeting Alawites.
