Al-Jazira women require leader's physical freedom during a march

The Kongra Star organized a march in Hasaka city in al-Jazira canton to demand the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The march was held under the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom, the Right to Hope Will Be Achieved." Moreover,  thousands of women from the cities of al-Shaddadi, al-Hawl, al-Dirbasiyah, Tel Brak, Tel Tamr, al-Arisha, and Washokani and Serê Kaniyê camps, as well as women forcibly displaced from Afrin participated in the march.

The march began at Marsho roundabout in Hasaka and continued to al-Huriyyah (Freedom) roundabout. During the march, participants held up pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan,  chanting slogans such as "Long live Leader Abdullah Ocalan," "No life Without The Leader," and "With Our Blood and Lives, We Support You, Leader."

After the march reached al-Hurriyyah roundabout, it turned into a mass gathering, and Khalida Bouti, the member of the Kongra Star Coordination in Hasaka gave a speech.

Khalida Bouti explained that women must raise their voices and continue the struggle for the sake of the leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom. She said, "The leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for peace and a democratic society has spread throughout the world. We must also intensify our struggle to achieve this goal for peace."

Khalida noted that the leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message to the Arab tribes, with the aim of reinforcing unity among all components, especially between Kurds and Arabs. She added, "All components and peoples must unite their efforts. All wars and policies being waged are aimed at destroying the people."

Khalida Bouti also mentioned the massacre committed in Om al-Tineh village in Deir Hafer, saying, "If we do not learn from history, the occupier will continue to kill our people every day. We will not remain silent in the face of all these crimes and policies targeting our people. We will continue our struggle until we achieve freedom."

For her part, Amira Saeed, the member of the Kongra Star in al-Shaddadi city, pointed out that the leader Abdullah Ocalan has been imprisoned for more than 26 years in Imrali prison, emphasizing the need to grant him freedom and lift the isolation imposed on him. She said, "We will not stop the struggle until the leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom is achieved, and we will continue our struggle until that day."

The march concluded with chants of "No Life Without The Leader."
