The Notables of Al-Aqeidat tribe affirmed their support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), "the only force that paid a heavy price to liberate us from terrorism", urging them to beware of malicious agendas.
During a gathering organized by a number of sheikhs and notables of Al-Aqeidat tribe, in the town of Jadid Aqeidat, the Co-Chair of the Al-Jadeed Municipality, Awad Ramadan Al-Drees in a statement said "In our name and in the name of all the sons of the tribes and clans, we condemn the attacks and crimes committed by the Syrian regime and its so-called National Defense on our areas in Deir ez-Zor, as they targeted the homes of unarmed civilians which led to martyrdom and injury of a number of them."
"Once again, those who work for external parties hostile to our clans and people have showed their filthy actions. Furthermore, they are not linked to our clans, they are a rogue bunch works to spread chaos, confusion and killing" the statement added.
The statement made the point clear " We maintain our firm and unwavering position with only force (SDF) that paid a heavy cost to liberate us from terrorism, we will remain committed to this position against all threats that target our areas because the fighters of the SDF are from our clans and our people."
The statement explained: "We have suffered greatly from the ISIS, and thanks to the SDF that defeated them in the battle of Baghouz, and we will not allow any party to drag us back into the labyrinths of wars, chaos, and cases of revenge and ethnic strife."
The statement warned " We and the SDF form a cohesive unit that cannot be broken, and we have the strength and capabilities to respond, but at the same time we are inclined towards peace and preserving national unity in NE Syria."
The statement called on "all our people, from all the tribal spectrums, young and old, to avoid slipping behind the malicious agendas that are trying to undermine the gains of our revolution.
The dignitaries of Al-Aqeidat tribe thanked "the Syrian Democratic Forces and their righteous leaders, who dealt with wisdom, rationality and high morals avoiding harming civilians and keeping them away from the scene of the clashes."
