Ahmed Khoja: With leader Abdullah Ocalan; democratic society is realized

The co-chair of the Social Affairs Authority in the Euphrates region, Ahmed Khoja, spoke to ANHA's agency about the message from leader Abdullah Ocalan, the announcement of the ceasefire, and the continuation of attacks by the Turkish occupying state.

Ahmed Khoja said: "The call of leader Abdullah Ocalan is a historical and positive message, both for the Kurdish liberation movement and the Kurdish forces, as well as for the advocates of democracy and freedom. The occupying Turkish state did not respond to the leader's call for peace; on the contrary, it intensified its attacks on the region."

Khoja pointed out the continuation of the Turkish occupying state's attacks after the call of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and continued his speech by saying: "Leader Abdullah Ocalan asked the Freedom Guerrillas to lay down their arms to stop this war. It is true that the Freedom Guerrillas declared a ceasefire after the leader's call, as we saw, but the occupying Turkish state did not fulfill its duty and its attacks on the region continue, which indicates that the Turkish state does not want peace."

"Peace and stability will not be achieved without the leader."

Ahmed Khoja explained that the continuation of Turkish state attacks means they are not serious about this process and are using it as a tool for deception. He said, "The Turkish state wants to deceive people again. The Kurdish Liberation Movement welcomed the leader's call seriously and announced to the public its readiness to lay down arms in exchange for the implementation of some conditions. The one who made this call is the leader, and the one who will resolve this issue is the leader. Therefore, the Turkish state should release the leader, as there will be no peace or stability without him."

Khoja pointed to the desire of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) delegation to go to Imrali before the Newroz holiday and bring a message from the leader, but the occupying Turkish state did not allow this. He continued, saying: "The Turkish state did not want to hold a meeting with the leader before Newroz, and their refusal means that the Turkish state does not want peace and stability. When the war continues, tensions will escalate and the crisis will intensify. When the crisis intensifies, the occupying Turkish state will be held accountable. The whole world sees the actions of the Turkish state in the free mountains and the regions of North and East Syria; they attack brutally. Everyone knows about the PKK's declaration of a ceasefire, but the Turkish state has not stopped its attacks yet and has not taken any steps to respond to the leader's call. The Turkish state must implement the leader's demands."

The co-chair of the Social Affairs Committee in the Euphrates region, Ahmed Khoja, emphasized that the solution can only be with the leader Abdullah Ocalan, concluding his speech by saying: "The one who made this call is leader Abdullah Ocalan, so there will be no solution without the leader. As the guerrillas of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement mentioned: How can there be peace if the leader is not involved in this process? Because the leader is the one who wants this, and he must be part of this process. The leader mentioned in his call that it is either the path of peace and democratic society or nothing else. At that point, the Turkish state will intervene in the Anatolian borders, and that is the only thing left for the Turkish state. As for us, as the Kurdish people, we say to the whole world that we will continue our struggle and resistance."
