In the first session of the second day of the 23rd Congress of the Kurdistan National Congress, elections were held for the co-chair and members of the governing body of the Congress. According to the bylaws of the Congress, members have the right to run for the co-chairmanship twice, so some delegates submitted a proposal to allow the current co-chairs to remain in office for another term.

The number of members of the governing body according to the bylaws is 19, and due to the expansion of the fields of work, it was proposed to increase the number of members of the governing body to 23, which was also unanimously accepted.

Some delegates who were unable to attend the conference due to visa-related reasons in Kurdistan and Russia participated in the session via videoconference.

After the vote on the rules of procedure, voting began, and Ahmed Karamush and Zainab Murad were elected as co-chairs of the KNC again.

The session now continues with the election of members of the KNK's governing body.
