ADP: Syria’s future needs unity, not exclusivity
The Assyrian Democratic Party (ADP) has called on national forces and the international community to reject any attempt to impose a constitutional declaration that excludes any party. The party emphasized the need to support a transparent political process that ensures the establishment of a free, democratic, and decentralized Syria.

The ADP statement read," In light of the critical circumstances Syria is facing and the ongoing efforts to build a democratic state that represents all its people without marginalization or exclusion, we express deep concern over attempts to impose a provisional constitutional declaration that does not reflect the will of the Syrian people in all their diversity.
Any constitutional declaration must serve as a step toward entrenching the values of freedom, justice, and equal citizenship rather than being used as a tool to impose dominance or consolidate the authority of one group at the expense of others. The imposition of such a declaration without genuine national consensus poses a threat to Syria’s future and constitutes a violation of the democratic principles that the Syrian people aspire to after years of suffering and conflict.
We reaffirm that any constitutional framework must be based on an inclusive dialogue that ensures the participation of all Syrians without exception. It should uphold political and ethnic pluralism, the separation of powers, respect for human rights, and the peaceful transfer of power. Syria’s future cannot be built on unilateralism and exclusivity in decision-making but rather on the foundations of genuine national partnership that guarantees stability, development, and justice for all.
Therefore, we call upon all national forces, the international community, and organizations concerned with Syrian affairs to reject any attempt to impose a constitutional declaration that excludes any party and to support a transparent political process that ensures the establishment of a free, democratic, and decentralized Syria that accommodates all its citizens without discrimination or exclusion.
