AANES: Inaction of international powers over Turkish attack affects combating ISIS

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria ( AANES) called on the active forces in Syria, led by the international coalition to bear their responsibility  over the Turkish aggression, and stressed that the will of the people and the march of the martyrs to achieve sustainable victory.

AANES issued a statement about the ongoing Turkish aggression against NE Syria and the attacks that took place today in the Derik district, which led to the martyrdom of the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Shibli Derik, and injury children, alongside damage caused to the Al-Namaa Agricultural Company.

The text of the statement read:

“The Turkish state seeks to obstruct the efforts of our people in combating terrorism, it targets vital sites as well as civilians since the beginning of the month.” And deprives about 5 million people of the lowest level of services.

Turkey continues its aggression and continues its war against our regions, last year Turkey targeted fighters from the Women’s Protection Units who fought terrorism and struggled against it, and today the scene is repeated in the city of Derik, where Turkey targeted a leader in the Syrian Democratic Forces, the martyr “Shibli Derik,” who worked professionally and to the best of his ability with the partner international coalition forces in combating terrorism.

 Today’s attack also resulted injury two girls and the brother of the martyr Shibli, as well as targeting the Al-Namaa Agricultural Company."

"We affirm that this aggression will not deter us from continuing our struggle against all plans that target the gains of our people, we appeal the active forces in Syria, especially the international coalition to bear their responsibilities regarding this aggression that targets the stability of our regions and efforts to combat ISIS."

 "We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the martyr Shibli Derik and his companions and all the martyrs, and we wish a speedy recovery to the wounded."
