92 martyrs over Turkish attacks on NE, Syria

ANHA agency has documented the human rights violations and crimes perpetrated by Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated "Syrian National Army" factions during November and December 2024, extending into early 2025 in NE, Syria.

 Since November 27, 2024, Turkish-backed mercenaries have committed war crimes in clear violation of international norms, including acts of slaughter, murder, abduction, torture, targeting injured individuals based on ethnic identity, and assassinating journalists. These crimes, which constitute crimes against humanity and acts of genocide based on identity, have occurred under the alarming silence of the international community.

November 28, 2024: Turkish occupation forces launched artillery strikes on the village of Granada in the Afrin countryside, injuring 28-year-old civilian Dalil Fawaz Ibo.

 November 29, 2024: Artillery bombardment in the village of Halisa, Afrin, claimed the lives of 13-year-old Rusil Mohammad Khalaf and 40-year-old Mohammad Arif Haj Mahmoud, while injuring children Hussein Mohammad Hasan Khalaf (9 years old) and Murad Mohammad Haj Mahmoud (14 years old).

 November 30, 2024: Turkish artillery targeted the villages of Binê and Harbal, injuring 26-year-old Jawwan Mohammad Ali.

December 1, 2024: Turkish shelling injured children Khadr Mahli (2 years old) and Zaynab Murad (3 years old) along with Mahli Mahli (44) and Kanju Ramo (41). Additionally, a Turkish drone targeted a civilian vehicle on the international road between Qamishli and Hasaka, killing Aziz “Salahuddin Shikho.”

December 2, 2024: In a heinous act, sniper fire from the Turkish-backed "Syrian National Army" killed Jamal Mersal and his son Hassan (24 years old) near the Sheikhhan roundabout, while severely injuring the wife and daughter.

December 4, 2024: Turkish drones targeted the "Ararat" car wash in Derik, resulting in the martyrdom of Abdullah Ali Al-Ahmad and Anas Tamam Mohammad, as well as injuring others in the area.

 December 5, 2024: Villages in western Manbij witnessed heavy Turkish bombardment, leading to the martyrdom of Ahmad Ali Al-Jabban (20) and his sister Zahra Ali Al-Jabban (23) in Al-Bughaz village. Nadima Al-Hussein Al-Hamoud (45) was martyred in Al-Farat village, with Saadah Al-Faraj (45) critically injured.

 On December 8, 2024, a brutal airstrike carried out by Turkish drones targeted the village of Al-Mastarihah, west of Ain Issa, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 members of a single family, including many women and children. The martyrs are:

 On December 9, 2024, Turkish drones launched strikes on the villages of Harmel and Mahramlah in the countryside of Zarghan, killing one civilian and injuring two others who were working in the fields during the attack. Additionally, the Turkish occupation forces committed a gruesome massacre in the village of Kherfan, near Manbij, where 10 civilians were killed by drone strikes.

The Zenobia Women’s Assembly announced the martyrdom of three of its members—Qamar Al-Soud, Aisha Abdul Qader, and Iman—during Turkish attacks on Manbij, describing them as courageous fighters. On the same day, 25-year-old Abdullah Mahmoud Sheikh Ali and 12-year-old Shahd Mahmoud Sheikh Ali were martyred, while two children, Omar Mahmoud Sheikh Ali (10) and Mahmoud Mahmoud Sheikh Ali (8), were injured in artillery bombardment that struck the village of Jada Al-Kabira, southwest of Kobani.

 Reports surfaced on January 10, revealing that dozens of injured individuals receiving treatment in a hospital in Manbij were executed in a horrific act. The exact number of martyrs remains unknown.

On December 10, the Turkish occupation targeted a second family in the village of Safiyan, near Tal Abyad, using drones. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of eight individuals, including:

 December 11: Turkish forces shelled the village of Tel Jumaa, Tel Tamr’s countryside, injuring one civilian. Additionally, a Turkish strike targeted an ambulance, killing the driver and one of the wounded patients, while critically injuring a nurse and another wounded individual. Militants from the "Syrian National Army" also attacked a vehicle carrying 11 civilians at Qaraqozak Bridge, killing Zahida Kousi (60) and wounding her grandson (8).

 December 14: “Syrian National Army” militants killed Ali Jamal Al-Sheikhani, the owner of Al-Shahbandar Restaurant in Manbij.

 December 19: ANHA journalist Jihan Balkeen and reporter Nazim Dashtan were martyred in a Turkish drone strike on a road between Tishreen Dam and the town of Sirrin. Their driver, Aziz Haj Bouzan, sustained injuries.

 December 21: A drone attack on a vehicle traveling between Al-Hol and Tel Brak resulted in the martyrdom of three civilians, including Tel Brak City Council member Bassam Shadadi, Community Protection Forces member Abeer Al-Khalif, and Tel Brak Elders' Council member Ahmed Al-Tami. Tel Brak Elders' Council President Banyan Hassanawi Jidou was severely injured.

 December 22: Turkish bombardment struck Jada village in Kobani, killing Suzan Khalaf (35) and her 12-year-old daughter Naseem Khalaf.

 January 6: A Turkish artillery strike on Jadida village near Ain Issa seriously injured Ammaar Hamad Ali Al-Hussein (45).

 January 8: Turkish drones targeted a civilian convoy near Tishreen Dam, killing three individuals—Azad Farhan Mohammed Hassan, Zozan Hamo, and Karam Ahmed Al-Shehab Al-Hamad—and injuring 15 others. The same day, Ali Shasho and Mustafa Abdi were martyred during a drone strike on Kark village in Kobani's countryside, and a civilian was martyred in another strike near Karki Khajou, Derik.

 According to Afrin Human Rights Organization-Syria, the following violations were documented during the second forced displacement of Afrin’s residents in December 2024:

 145 abductions, including 16 women and girls.

 Martyrdom 26 civilian , including an elderly man who suffered a fatal heart attack and two children who died of cold during displacement.

 16 cases of beatings and torture, including 3 women and children.

 60 olive trees cut down in Sheikh Khurz village for sale.

 Over 300 missing persons, primarily youth and women, following the December 2 occupation of Shahba.

 Additionally, war crimes were recorded across Manbij, Kobani, Zarghan, and Ain Issa, including:

 13 abductions (over 5 women and girls).

 61 killings (including 6 children and 10 women).

 These systematic violations reflect crimes against humanity and war crimes under international law, as Turkish forces target civilian infrastructure such as grain silos, sugar production plants, and power stations, alongside areas near  Tishreen Dam.
