8,992 Afrin- Shahba shelled by Turkey gangs in 2023

The Media Center of al-Shahba Military Forces revealed the outcome of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the areas of Al-Shahba and Afrin during the year 2023.

The toll of attacks during the year 2023 is as follows:

January

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries carried out 2,139 attacks with mortar shells and tanks, 4 attacks with missiles, and 2 attacks with suicide UAVs.

February

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 72 times with opis, mortars and tanks throughout the month.

March

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 45 times with mortars and opis.

April and May

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries carried out 89 attacks using opis artillery, mortars, tanks, and grenade launchers, and once with suicide UAVs.

June

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 442 times with opus cannons, mortars, tanks, and grenade launchers, and 3 times with missiles.

July

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 282 times with opus cannons, mortars, tanks, and grenade launchers, and twice with UAVs.

August

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 434 times with opus cannons, mortars, tanks and missiles, and 16 times with drones.

September

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 500 times with opis cannons, mortars, and tanks, and 4 times with terrorist drones.

October

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 3,143 times with opis cannons, mortars, tanks, grenade launchers, and missiles, and 3 times with suicide drones.

November

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 661 times with opis artillery, mortars, tanks, grenade launchers and missiles, and 3 times with suicide drones.

December

The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked 1,143 times with opis cannons, mortars, tanks, and grenade launchers, and 5 times with suicide drones.

15 soldiers from the Damascus government forces were killed

According to the toll, the attacks resulted in the death of a citizen, the injury of 13 others, and the loss of 15 soldiers from the Damascus government forces. Also, 79 were injured in the continuous attacks during the past year on the villages of Al-Shahba and the Shirawa and Shara districts in Afrin.

11 villages destroyed

The attacks also resulted in 11 villages being completely destroyed and no longer inhabitable.

Mar'naz, Al-Malikiyah, Shawargha, and Tat Marash of the Shara district of Afrin.

Quri Mankh, Ain Diqna, Baylonia, Harbel, Smokya, Tell Gigan, and Tell Madiq belonging to Al-Shahba.
