5 Damascus forces killed, injured over explosion in Deir ez-Zor
Explosion of an IED in a military vehicle belonging to the Damascus government forces in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor led to killing and wounding 5 members.
SOHR stated that 2 members of the Damascus government forces were killed and 3 others were injured, following the explosion of an explosive device in a military vehicle in the Al-Ashara desert in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The death toll during military operations within the desert, according to Observatory documents, has reached 429 dead since the beginning of the year 2024. They are 43 citizens, 357 from Damascus government forces and groups loyal to it, and 29 ISIS mercenaries. They were killed in 141 ISIS attacks in deserts of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Homs.
