HASAKA

As part of the voluntary return program announced by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the administration of Al-Arisha Camp, located south of Hasaka city in NE Syria, organized a voluntary return trip today, Tuesday, for 46 Syrian families totaling 193 people, back to their original areas in Deir ez-Zor city.

This is the tenth voluntary return journey carried out by the camp administration, in coordination with the United Nations, this year toward areas inside Syria. Previous voluntary return trips have already been conducted for displaced persons to regions such as Homs, Damascus, Hama, and Idlib.

Salwa Jajo, an administrator at the camp, confirmed that the voluntary return operations will continue in the coming days, as work is underway to organize additional groups to ensure the departure of those wishing to return to their areas as quickly as possible.
