The BBC reported eyewitnesses saying that a drone targeted two tents near one of the hospitals, which were sheltering dozens of displaced people fleeing the ongoing battles in other parts of the sector.
Thus, the death toll since this morning rises to at least 21 killed, while no official comment has been issued by the Israeli army regarding this strike as of the time of publishing the news.
In a related context, the Israeli army announced in a statement issued on Wednesday the death of one of its soldiers during the ongoing battles in northern Gaza Strip, noting that the soldier held the rank of sergeant major. Another soldier was also injured with wounds described as "serious."
