The Al-Rabi'a area in the western Hama countryside witnessed a series of violent explosions today, shaking the vicinity of the town. These were caused by the detonation of an ammunition and missile depot at a former military site, amidst conflicting reports about the reasons for the incident.

According to local media reports, a drone believed to be Israeli targeted an arms and ammunition depot, causing a fire and several successive explosions heard over a wide area of Hama countryside.

While no official confirmation has yet been issued regarding the nature of the explosion or the responsible party, local sources reported that at least four people were killed as a result of a small transport bus (service) being damaged while passing near the explosion site.
