18,546 people arrive from Lebanon to NE Syria

According to the Crisis Cell of the Autonomous Administration, which is responsible for matters related to arrivals from Lebanon, nearly 18,546 people have arrived in NE Syria so far, including Syrians and Lebanese nationals.

The Crisis Cell reported that among the arrivals are 6,489 men, 5,870 women, and 6,115 children, including 58 Lebanese nationals and 14 bodies.

The arrivals either head to their homes or to relatives in NE Syria, while those who have no place to go are provided with shelter by the Autonomous Administration.

The Representation of the Autonomous Administration for NE Syria in Lebanon, along with the Nawrouz Cultural and Social Association, continuously organizes trips for Syrians wishing to return from Lebanon to the region.

The Autonomous Administration’s representation in Lebanon has taken on the responsibility of returning Syrians who wish to come back to the region. A committee was formed on September 24 to follow up on the affairs of Syrian refugees.

The military escalation between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah has forced tens of thousands of Syrians who were working in Lebanon or had fled there during the Syrian crisis to return to their country, after the escalation led to the deaths of dozens of Syrians.
