Anticipated Arab events for the annual conspiracy against leader Abdullah Ocalan

October 9 marks the 25th anniversary of the weaving of the threads of the international conspiracy that was planned against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, by removing him from Syria in 1998, then arresting him in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on February 15, 1999, and handing him over to the Turkish occupation state, which imposed severe isolation on him, reaching its peak on March 25, 2021.

Freedom is a right

For his part, Egyptian writer Elhamy al-Meligy, coordinator of the Arab Committee for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, confirmed that “the committee is striving to achieve its ultimate goal, which is to free the captivity of the leader and thinker Abdullah Ocalan from his imprisonment in the detention center on the Turkish island of Imrali.”

Al-Meligy told ANHA's agency: “The release of the thinker Ocalan, in addition to being a natural right for the leader and fighter, will contribute greatly to resolving the existing conflict between the Kurds and the Turkish state, as well as between the Kurds and the other countries of the region, Syria, Iran, and Iraq, through struggle to create the appropriate ground for a peaceful solution.” And democracy for the Kurdish issue and for all the ethnic, racial, and religious components of the region, and striving to implement the democratic nation project, which includes democratizing the region, and then resolving the ethnic and racial conflicts and differences that have exhausted our region over the past centuries.”

Book and seminar

He added, "In this context, we are preparing to prepare a book with the passage of a quarter of a century since the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan. The committee is scheduled to finish the book before February 15, the anniversary of the kidnapping of the leader and activist Abdullah Ocalan. The book will also include the reasons and circumstances for establishing the committee." and all of its past activities and future plans.”

Al-Meligy also announced “preparing for an expanded symposium to discuss the book after its release, in which an elite group of thinkers, jurists and politicians will participate to discuss the contents of the book, in addition to issuing various statements in different regions.”

He pointed out that "this comes within the committee's plan to intensify the activities and events that the committee intends to implement in the coming period, in an effort to release the leader and thinker Abdullah Ocalan."

Regarding the obstacles they face, the General Coordinator of the Arab Committee for Ocalan’s Freedom stressed, “We in the committee are striving to work to achieve the goal for which the committee was formed, which is to put pressure by all possible means to release the thinker Abdullah Ocalan. In doing so, we face a number of obstacles, but we are working to overcome them.” On it, and foremost among them is that we are facing an opponent, or let us say opponents who possess huge capabilities that we are unable to confront, but our strength in confrontation stems from the fact that we are defending the cause of truth, and history tells us that truth will inevitably triumph in the end, regardless of the strength of its enemies.”
