Younis: We foiled all plots against our regions

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Jazira region, Talaat Younis, confirmed that the correct assessment of the current situation and the security, military and social preparations foiled a large conspiracy that was being planned against the region, stressing their continued preservation of the security and safety of the region in general.

In the context of the series of mass meetings held by the Popular Initiative in Jazira region for the people of the towns and districts of the cities of Qamishlo canton to assess the political and social situation in the regions of North and East Syria and Syria, the initiative held a meeting this afternoon for the people of the Amuda district.

The region faced a major conspiracy

Referring to what happened in Deir ez-Zor a few days ago, Talaat Younis added: “We evaluate what happened in Deir ez-Zor as a large conspiracy planned to create strife between the components and create internal wars, and all of this came after the Astana meetings and the quartet meeting between Russia, Turkey, Iran, and the Syrian regime.” “It focused on how to confront the Autonomous Administration and the SDF with political, media, military and intelligence cooperation.”

He added: "They agreed together to attack the will of this people and end their democratic project that developed in the region. They agreed to that instead of agreeing to solve the Syrian crisis. Their interests are united when the issue relates to confronting the Kurds, despite all their differences in Syria and the region in general, and what happened in Deir ez-Zor were attempts to create a comprehensive war between the components and undermine the security and stability of the region.”

“We thwarted their plots.”

Talaat Younis praised the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces, saying: “The correct assessment, preparations, and strong measures in terms of security, military, and media, and the campaign of the Syrian Democratic Forces blocked the way to these agreements; but their plans did not stop here. They will continue their attempts because they jointly approved the incitement of the components against the Autonomous Administration project and the people's fraternity and the Syrian Democratic Forces, so we must be prepared to confront what is planned against our existence, our gains, and our will.”

While Younis noted the cooperation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Kurdish National Council with the Turkish occupation state against the peoples of the region, he added: “The Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Kurdish National Council have legitimized the policy of Turkification and demographic change practiced in the occupied regions and the daily attacks against our regions and the mountains of freedom, so we are facing the enemy from one side and the the treason on the other."

At the conclusion of his speech, Talaat Younis praised the positions of the Arab tribes and the people of the region regarding what the region, especially Deir ez-Zor, faced recently, and said: “Popular support for the SDF and the Autonomous Administration foiled these plans, and we, in turn, are also seeking to strengthen this solidarity, and we are preparing to hold expanded meetings with the people and notables.” And the tribal sheikhs in Deir ez-Zor, to reconsider its situation from a military and administrative perspective in order to preserve its security and safety and protect all its people.”
