Turkish occupation forces the people to give up their property

Sources told ANHA's agency that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are forcing the original residents of Afrin or their relatives to give up their property to the mercenaries, their families and settlers.

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue to change the demographics of occupied Afrin, and have established about 30 settlements so far, and settled about 500,000 settlers, especially Turkmens, in the border strip with Turkey in the homes of the displaced from Afrin.

A member of the Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, confirmed that there is a dangerous policy practiced by the Turkish occupation state with its mercenaries in the occupied Afrin canton.

Ibrahim Sheikho explained that the occupation and its mercenaries are forcing the remaining people in occupied Afrin to relinquish ownership of their property to the families of mercenaries and settlers, especially Turkmen, or to put pressure on relatives to relinquish the property of their relatives who were forcibly displaced from Afrin.

7 citizens were forced to give up their real estate

Sheikho indicated that 7 citizens of Shia district - whose identity was not revealed for security reasons - were forced at gunpoint to give up their real estate to the Turkmen "Sultan Suleiman Shah" mercenaries, which are classified on the US sanctions list.

He added that a Yazidi citizen from Iskan village in Sherawa district was forced to give up a hectare of a field planted with 150 perennial olive trees to establish a settlement.

Homes on the cheap

Ibrahim Sheikho pointed out that the Turkish occupation state is practicing other crimes against the people of Afrin to give up their real estate and property at gunpoint, as part of the plan to complete the process of demographic change.

He touched on the process of selling houses by settlers at low prices in the center of the occupied city of Afrin, through the so-called "industry" office of the mercenaries of "Ahrar al-Sham" of the Turkish occupation army.

Sheikho believes that the Turkish occupation in this way, which he described as new, aims to separate the Afrin canton from the Syrian lands, as buying and selling operations.

A member of the Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, confirmed that everyone who returns to Afrin canton is destined to be kidnapped for financial extortion, noting that the mercenaries of "Sultan Suleiman Shah" in Shia district require $1,500 for everyone who returns to Afrin in return for residing in his house.

And he indicated that the mercenaries impose rent royalties on those who remain in their homes, even though their ownership belongs to them (the remaining ones).
