46 dead and wounded during clashes between Damascus govt forces and mercenaries

During the past 48 hours, 39 of the Damascus government forces were killed and wounded, in addition to the death of 7 mercenaries of "Ansar al-Tawhid", as a result of clashes that took place in Jabal al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The past 48 hours witnessed a remarkable escalation on the axes of the southern countryside of Idlib within the "de-escalation" zone, and violent clashes led to the death of 19 of the Damascus government forces, the wounding of 20 others, and the killing of 7 of the "Ansar al-Tawhid" mercenaries affiliated with Jabhat al-Nusra, according to the Syrian Observatory.

The Observatory reported in details that the mercenaries of "Ansar al-Tawhid" launched a violent attack, targeting the points of the Damascus government forces in the village of MalaJa in the Jabal al-Zawiya region in the southern countryside of Idlib, after blowing up tunnels, followed by missile and artillery targeting and an attack on the points.

While the Russian warplanes intervened, coinciding with several attempts by the Damascus government forces, to regain control of the lost points, the village axis witnessed violent clashes.
