Afrin- Al-Shahba Canton Council denounces efforts of ENKS; PDK to legitimize the occupation of Afrin

Afrin and al-Shahba Canton Council denounced the efforts of the so-called Kurdish National Council (ENKS) and its supporter of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) to legitimize the Turkish occupation of Afrin and the illusion that "the Turkish occupation and mercenaries have become friends."

Dozens of members of the Afrin and al-Shahba canton councils, members of associations, unions, district councils, and the council of clan notables gathered in the main square of Sardam camp in al-Ahadath district in al-Shahba canton.

Council members Rizkar Lulu and Walid Dankali read the statement in Kurdish and Arabic, respectively.

At the beginning of the statement, it came: "The forcibly displaced Afrin people in the camps and villages of al-Shahba, along with their brothers, the displaced and residents of al-Shahba, are following the developments that are taking place in Afrin from the attempts of the Turkish occupation state to continue the policy of demographic change, taking advantage of the convergence of the interests of some major international powers with their interests, which are at the expense of the people of the region by denying the process of demographic change in Afrin, although this has been proven by dozens of reports issued by international and human rights organizations.

Occupied territories are social time bombs

The statement added: "The attempts of the Turkish occupation state to return a million Syrian refugees without their consent and settle them in the areas of its occupation from Afrin, passing through Azaz and al-Bab, and ending with Serêkaniyê, this policy poses a great and fateful danger to the population and social structure of those areas, as it constitutes social time bombs that can explode at any time."

The statement indicated that the Afrin people welcomed "with satisfaction the sanctions imposed by the US Treasury Department against the two factions of the Hamzat Division and the Suleiman Shah Division (Al-Amshat) and their leaders for committing grave violations against the indigenous Kurdish population in Afrin that amount to war crimes and human rights, although these penalties were limited in that they were It did not include the Turkish occupation state that organizes, trains and supports the two factions and others that violate the human rights of the Afrin people.

On the other hand, the Afrin and al-Shahba canton council pointed out in its statement to the efforts of the so-called "Kurdish National Council" to legitimize the Turkish occupation of Afrin, and the statement stated: "The bankrupt always fish in troubled water, and this is the case of the bankrupt ENKS officials nationally and socially by all standards who try to exploit pragmatic political statements Issued by some major international political forces about denying the demographic change in Afrin.

Where ENKS officials, with the support of the PDK and under the supervision of the Turkish intelligence service MIT, visited occupied Afrin and tried to play with the national and humanitarian feelings of the displaced people of Afrin, who resisted in al-Shahba and other areas, and deluded them that the Turkish occupation and mercenaries had become friends.

And the statement continued: "When their visit and machinations in Afrin coincided with the sanctions of the US Treasury Department against some criminal mercenary factions, the last fig leaf fell from the ENKS officials and their puppet tools, representatives of the treachery line. Under the direction of the Turkish MIT, they moved their cheap tools and organized a gathering in Kurdish Afrin to defend the criminals, rapists, thieves, and rogues." The perpetrators of war crimes and human rights against the Afrin people under the name of Kurdish-Arab brotherhood.

He added, "Everyone followed the play of fall, betrayal, and villainy, the victim defends the criminal, the play of disappearance and concealment of all Kurdish manifestations and the authenticity of Afrin and its history, and we did not see anything Kurdish, neither spirit nor presence."

The statement called for the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to be held accountable, saying: "We, the displaced people of Afrin in al-Shahba, appeal to communities, organizations, and countries to stop the crimes of the Turkish occupation and the factions associated with it, and to refer them to international trial."

He denounced the betrayal of the so-called Kurdish National Council, ENKS, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, PDK, and said: "We denounce and declare the curse of history on the treason line represented by the ENKS and their supporter, the PDK, and we affirm that the Afrinies, the Free People, and history will judge them."

The statement ended by chanting slogans that salute the resistance of the people of Afrin, and denounce the policies of the occupation and its traitorous followers.
