NPG: Yazidi community is the essence of the pure Kurds

The Central Command of the People's Defense Center (NPG) issued a written statement to the public opinion, with the advent of the 9th anniversary of the attacks of ISIS mercenaries on Şengal district, in which it stated:

"9 years have passed since the invasion and genocide attacks on our Yazidi people and the Yazidi holy area of Şengal. The pain caused by these inhumane attacks is still as painful as it was on the first day, and our comrades from the Yazidi community, our first martyrs Berkhudan, Dilkesh, Armang and Genko, stood against the attacks. At the same time, our comrades Mam Zaki, Saeed, Dijwar, Zardasht, Bir Jakko, Hamid, Berivan Saeed and Rosiyar gave all their personalities for the freedom of our people and Şengal and rose to the rank of martyrdom. Therefore, we remember all these comrades with respect and gratitude.

We salute the historical leaders who intervened to stop this onslaught of genocide, and we salute the unique heroism of Comrade Delcher Hercule, Akid Givian, Memo Mardin, Nogin Ayres, Jko Gatak and Ceylan Goyi, and we remember in the person of these comrades all our heroic martyrs and renew our promise to crown the historical process that paved the way for it through their efforts and sacrifices Kurdistan Navy, these heroic and dear leaders not only advanced with their courage and heroism, but also, with their numerous plans and sharp intelligence, on the one hand, they attacked and broke the ring of the terrorist organization ISIS and protected Şengal, and on the other hand, they transferred 120 thousand people from Şengal to Rojava within 8 Days, this liberation operation, which was led by the People's Defense Forces HPG, with the support of the People's Protection Units YPG, was recorded in history as the largest humanitarian operation in recent years. Undoubtedly, the firm stance of our Yazidi people in Şengal made this historical resistance meaningful and led to victory. The Kurdish Yazidi community, which has always resisted historically, did not surrender, despite dozens of firmans and massacres, and the ideals of pure and true Kurdishism, and they made a historic decision to resist in the most difficult The conditions in the Şengal Mountains were inspired by the inspiration they got from the APO fighters, and the women, youth and all members of the Yazidi community did not leave Şengal, despite all the threats and dangers, and they remained in their original homeland and joined the resistance. This courage and the great determination of our Yazidi community deserve all the pride This continuous position of our Yazidi community in the difficult circumstances of life, as an important stance on patriotism, a tradition that shows that the Yazidi community will guarantee its future through resistance, and it also illustrates the essence of resistance that comes from history, showed our Yazidi community, which has not abandoned its position over the past 9 years. Years, with the resistance and struggle led by his heroic sons in the Şengal Resistance Units YBŞ and the Şengal Women's Units YJŞ, to the whole world that he has the strength and determination to defend Şengal against all kinds of attacks.

On this occasion, we salute our Yazidi resisting people, fighters and dear leaders, the Şengal Resistance Units YBŞ and the Şengal Women’s Units YJŞ, with the most sincere feelings, we are the revolutionaries of Kurdistan and the People’s Defense Forces HPG, we declare that we will always stand by our oppressed people, and we remember once again all our martyrs with respect and appreciation, and we strongly affirm We will remain attached to their memory in all circumstances, and we will achieve their goals.”
