The confirmation of the leader, Dersim Derbas, came during his participation in the memorial ceremony for 122 male and female martyrs from Hasaka canton, organized by the Council of Martyrs' Families.

Today, the Council of Martyrs' Families in the city of Hasaka and Serêkaniyê recalled 122 female and male martyrs from the city of Hasaka, from the "Women's Protection Units, the People's Protection Units, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Defense Forces, the Self-Defense Duty, and the Democratic Society Movement", who were martyred during July in different regions and years.

Hundreds of the city's residents, along with the families of the martyrs, and members of the civil and military institutions in the city participated in the memorial ceremonies, which were organized in the Rasho hall in the city of Hasaka.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the member of the Council of Martyrs' Families in the city Hasaka Mahmoud Jawad remembered all the martyrs, and praised the struggle of the people in NE Syria, and the sacrifices they made through their sons and daughters; In defense of the July 19 Revolution and its gains.

The leader of the Hasaka Military Council, Dersim Derbas touched on what the Turkish occupation state is seeking, by escalating its attacks on NE Syria, and the continuous efforts of their military forces to defend the region.

Derbas said, "We will continue to escalate our struggle until defeating the aggression and thwarting all its plans that aim to exterminate and kill the people of the region."

The memorial ceremony for the martyrs ended with the display of the pictures of the 122 martyrs in the hall through a video tape.
