Women organizations in NE Syria support KJK campaign

Women organizations and movements in NE Syria announced their support for the campaign of the Kurdistan Women's Organization, "We stand with the women of Afghanistan and Şengal against the attacks of the dominant man," by launching a series of activities under the slogan "In response to the genocide of women... we create life."

The announcement of the campaign came to support the campaign of the Kurdistan Women's Organization (KJK), which will start from August 3 to 15, under the slogan "We stand with the women of Afghanistan and Şengal against the attacks of the dominant man", to put an end to the massacres committed against women, nature and life.

The statement of women organizations was read by the Kongra Star spokeswoman, Rehan Loqo, in the Kurdish language, while the administrator of the Zenobia Women's Gathering, Nisreen Al-Hassan, read it in Arabic, in front of the Muhammad Sheikho Center in Qamishlo, that nine years have passed since the genocide that the Yazidi community was subjected to in Şengal on August 3, 2014, by ISIS mercenaries who killed thousands of women, children and the elderly, displaced tens of thousands, kidnapped thousands of women and children and sold them in slave markets in front of the entire world.

The statement also mentioned the crimes of ISIS mercenaries against children, saying: "Children were subjected to genocide for their culture, identity and religion."

"In the 21st century, in front of the eyes of the whole world, all inhumane acts of murder, rape, violence and all forms of genocidal politics have been committed," the statement said. "Thousands of abducted women are still missing."

The statement noted that "the same policy of genocide and brutality against Afghan women was implemented in August 2021 by the Taliban after the United States withdrew from Afghanistan," and that "the plan to hand over Afghan women to Taliban terrorism, as well as to hand over Şengal women to ISIS, is nothing but a systematic policy of extermination." It is carried out by the filthy plans of the dominant powers against women, and wants to cover the will of a free woman, and return her to the era of slavery.

It added, "Under the slogan "In response to the genocide of women... we create life," and in the name of women organizations and movements in Rojava, we remember the martyrs of the Şengal resistance and Afghanistan."

"We will respond with all our strength to the hopes and desires of women in Şengal and Afghanistan," and in the context of supporting the campaign that the KJK will start between August 3 and 15, with a series of activities and supportive actions against all policies of genocide and violence against women in the twenty-first century.

It also stressed, "With resistance and struggle, women will write their history in golden letters, and all genocide schemes practiced against women will fail."

The campaign program, according to the statement, is as follows:

* Organizing many events at the level of NE Syria.

* On August 2, candles are lit in all women squares.

* On August 7, a forum was held in the name of women's organizations and movements in NE Syria.

* August 10, organizing a protest stand.
