PDK authorities attempt to kill Kurdish journalist Sherwan Sherwani in prison

Media outlets and virtual communication sites circulated information about the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) attempt to kill journalist Sherwan Sherwani in prison, which was confirmed by representatives of Bahdinan prisoners.

The confirmation came from the representative of Bahdinan prisoners, Ayhan Saeed, in a statement to Roj news agency, who said: "There have been attempts to kill the detainees of Bahdinan, especially Sherwan Sherwani, so fears for his life are increasing."

Saeed added, "We hold Masrour Barzani fully responsible because the arrest of the journalists in Bahdinan and the Sherwani case was not a court decision, because from the beginning until now all decisions taken against the detainees in Bahdinan are made by Masrour Barzani's office, and they are political decisions."

Ayhan Saeed stated that an attempt was made to kill Sherwan Sherwani and discredit him, but all their attempts failed, and he demanded that Sherwan be transferred from Hewler prison to Sulaymaniyah immediately.

Ayhan sent a message to Masrour Barzani, saying: "When Masrour Barzani and his team started their work with a police mentality, and made plans to silence the Bahdinan region through a policy of arrest and intimidation, just like the one-man policy and dictatorship that is being implemented against the Kurds in Turkey, their policies failed after three Years of the issue of the prisoners of Bahdinan, and Masrour and his cronies were defeated.

Last night, the journalist, Hemin Mamand, revealed some information about the threat to Sherwan's life, and the attempt to kill him in prison by poisoning him, but Sherwani felt the change in the flavor of the drink they brought him and revealed their plan and thwarted it.
