Person killed, child wounded amid continued chaos; proliferation of weapons in Idlib

The areas occupied by Turkey and the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" are witnessing chaos and security chaos, in addition to the proliferation of weapons among civilians.

A person was killed and a child was injured, as a result of gunfire after they were deliberately run over by a car in which two people were traveling, on the road linking the towns of Sarmin - al-Nayrab, east of occupied Idlib, while the two gunmen fled to an unknown destination, according to the SOHR.

According to the sources of the SOHR, the dead man is wanted for revenge for a family from the village of Qaminas, as he entered the prisons of the mercenaries of the HTS and was released a few days later, on the background of a lawsuit filed by the killers' relatives, so that their rights would be taken into their own hands, according to what the killers' relatives said.

Since the beginning of the year 2023, the Syrian Observatory has documented 33 incidents falling under the security chaos within the areas of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, the so-called "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham", in Idlib and the surrounding countryside. These attacks and incidents resulted in 36 deaths.
