On the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne, historic conference took place in Swiss city of Lausanne

On the centenary of the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, which was based on the genocidal attacks on the Kurds in the last century, a massive and central rally will be held in the city of Lausanne.

The conference will last for two days

The conference, which was held in the conference hall in Beaulieu (Salle de Congrès de Beaulieu), was attended by more than six hundred people, in which the Treaty of Lausanne will be discussed, and it will last for two days. In the first session, the Lausanne Agreement and its results will be discussed in Kurdistan. In the session moderated by Salma Irmak and Khalil Khazri, the historian of international relations, Dr. Eastern Syria, Dr. Abd al-Ilah al-Mustafa, researcher and writer Muhammad Bayrak.

On the second day of the conference, two sessions will be held. The first session will be titled "Women's Status and Women's Struggle", which will be moderated by Kurd Omar and Sahar Ayder, and from the University of Bremen, Munawar Aziz Oglo and Nermin Othman, head of women's institutions in Sulaymaniyah.

In the second session, the situation of the Armenian, Assyrian and Chaldean peoples will be discussed, as the researcher, writer Aidan Aslan and trainer Nairi Muradian will speak.

The last session, titled "100 years of struggle against the results of the Treaty of Lausanne," will be moderated by Bahra Muhammad Mahmoud and Rogan Hazem, by Professor Dr. Nayef Bazwan from the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna and from Jagiellonian University in Poland by Dr. Azad Haji Aghaei, writer Ares Abdullah and writer Dr. Haval Abu Bakr.

In the last part, the "dissolution and declaration of the conference" will be announced and the cancellation will be announced and discussed. The final declaration of the conference will be announced to the public through a press release on Monday, July 24 at 10:00 in front of the Château d'Ouchy.

The march and assembly programme

The Kurdish people gathered in the Place de la Navîgation in Lausanne at 11:30 today, coinciding with the convening of the conference, to go out in a march that started at 1 pm, and then they will hold a gathering.

Lausanne committee member Yuksel Koc, co-chair of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Zainab Murad, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (YNK) Blessi Jabbar Farman, co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Asia Abdullah, head of the Assembly Ibrahim Alizadeh, representative of the Kurdistan Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) Shukran Sinjar, artists Nejam al-Din Gholami, Shavan Parvar, Joby Fattah and Mezgin Taher Wana will participate in the event.
