KCK recalls martyrs of Perseus massacre, calls for support of Rojava revolution

KCK published a written statement, to commemorate the martyrs of the Perseus massacre, which took place on July 20, 2015 in the center of the Perseus town of Raha (Urfa) in Bakur (Northern Kurdistan).

The statement read:

"On July 20, 2015 an attack was carried out  against the socialist youth in Turkey who supported the Rojava revolution and came to Perseus to rebuild Kobani, and 33 youth were martyred in the attack. We condemn this brutal attack by the fascism of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party, and we remember the martyrs of the Perseus massacre with respect and gratitude and we bow to their memory.

They played a historical role in the development of common struggle

The members of the Socialist Youth Movement, who were martyred in Perseus massacre, played a historical role in supporting the Turkish people and the socialist movement with the Kurds and strengthening the common struggle. The revolutionary youth in Turkey came to Perseus with these ideas and awareness, they tried to contribute to the reconstruction of Kobani, which was destroyed by ISIS attacks.

 The great revolutionary Deniz Kezmish, who expressed his support for the Kurds on the gallows, made it clear how important this is. Leader Apo attached great importance to the position of Deniz Kezmish and his comrades and showed that as a result of the connection with the memory and traditions of Deniz Kezmish, Mahir Gayan and Ibrahim Kaybak Kaya, the struggle began.

The martyred revolutionaries of Perseus became representatives of this great tradition. We must understand their historical position and values well.

Leaving the Kurds is only part of the concept of extermination

Since the authority of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party has a backward, fascist, and anti-Kurdish mentality, it has been trying to eliminate the Rojava revolution, which is the people's hope for a democratic and free life, from the beginning.

The authority of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party, which breeds ISIS, allows it to attack people everywhere, especially in Kobani and Şengal. But when ISIS was defeated in Kobani as a result of the joint struggle and resistance of the peoples, the plan of the fascist President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the authority of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party failed.

 The fascist authority implemented a new plan after the defeat of ISIS. One of the most important principles of this concept, which was developed on the basis of destroying the Kurdish movement and carrying out genocide against the Kurds is to prevent the democratic development in the Middle East that took place in Rojava and to rekindle backwardness.

One of the main ideas of the concept of genocide is to leave the Kurds alone and eliminate their struggle.

We call for great support for Rojava revolution

Without a doubt; The joint struggle and the alliance of oppressed peoples and components has developed further, and the Kurds in particular, the peoples of Turkey and the Middle East, women, revolutionaries and those fighting for socialism and democracy have resisted the fascism of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party. As a result of this alliance and struggle, fascism's annihilation plans failed. In order to completely eliminate this scheme and defeat the fascism of the Justice and Development National Movement, the struggle must continue further. So the main line is to protect the Rojava revolution more strongly. This is the most accurate and meaningful way to adopt the martyrs of Perseus and the tradition of the socialist struggle.

On this basis, we call on everyone to provide great support for the Rojava revolution, to take a stronger stance against the attacks on Rojava, and to increase the common struggle line.
