Sawsan Shoman referred to the strict isolation and "disciplinary sanctions" imposed by the Turkish occupation state on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, stating that (the occupying state) "seeks to renew these penalties every time, without a legal basis, in an attempt to legitimize this detention, And depriving him of all his rights granted him by human rights laws.”

Sawsan Shoman described all the violations committed by the Turkish occupation state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, from his detention to the current situation of death threats, as "the summit of political decadence."

She emphasized that the isolation imposed on the leader is nothing but a continuation of the international conspiracy that was planned in 1998, and led to his arrest in 1999, explaining, "If we discuss matters of isolation, it is unacceptable legally and humanely."

She indicated that leader Abdullah Ocalan does not enjoy the rights enjoyed by a political prisoner, and mentioned the violations related to his detention, "a mock trial, long detention with the intelligence services, the General Staff and the Special Forces in isolation from the Ministry of Justice, the lack of the minimum human rights, which is contact with abroad, and strict isolation, These are flagrant violations that contravene the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, especially Articles 7 and 10.

Indicating that the Turkish occupation state violates the rights of political prisoners by denying them the right to obtain information, preventing visits, and not allowing them to meet with lawyers, as well as violating many rights such as the right of political prisoners to give their statements as soon as possible, to defend themselves, to seek the assistance of a lawyer, and the right to obtain information.
