Iraqi lawmaker: Inaction of the govt encouraged Turkey to violate Iraqi sovereignty

The Turkish occupation state launches its attacks on an almost daily basis on separate areas and places in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), which resulted in dozens of citizens losing their lives and injuring others.

Regarding the Turkish occupation state's attacks on Başûr Kurdistan and the government's inaction, Iraqi lawmaker Ali al-Saadi spoke to Roj News agency, where he affirmed: "The government's inaction has made Turkey violates sovereignty of Iraq without any accountability by the Baghdad government."

He added, "Turkey occupies large areas inside Iraq, and this is a flagrant violation and a threat to the country's security, especially since Turkey has established military bases in the northern regions with the aim of controlling oil sales outlets."

He pointed out that "targeting forests at a time when Dohuk is witnessing an active tourist movement is an intentional movement aimed at weakening tourism in the north of the country."

Worth to note that Mount Gary was subjected to heavy Turkish bombardment yesterday evening, in addition to areas in Nahla, including the villages of Balafah and Rishfa, which belong to the Amadiya district, north of Dohuk.

The bombing led to the burning of vast areas of forests and farms of the villagers because of the inability of firefighters to reach these areas.
