Protesters: We will rise up against anyone tries to harm leader Ocalan

Today, the people of Gîl Agha district took part in a demonstration, rejecting the policies of isolation and torture that are being pursued against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, the latest of which was the threatening letters.

Members of civil institutions and councils, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, the Council of Martyrs' Families, members of the Young Women's Union, Kongra Star, and representatives of political parties participated in the demonstration.

The demonstration started from Martyr Masum Square in the center of Gîl Agha, and roamed the main neighborhoods in it, expressing their discontent with the policies of the fascist Turkish state against the leader Ocalan, "There is no life without the leader," "Death to fascism," "With our soul and blood, we will sacrifice the leader".

After it roamed the neighborhoods of the district, the demonstration returned again to the center of the district where the demonstrators observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs.

 PYD's co-chair in the district  indicated that the tightening of isolation and the pursuit of war policies against the leader Abdullah Ocalan aim to break the will of the peoples who struggle in the person of the leader for freedom.

"We will rise up against anyone who tries to harm the leader  Ocalan, and we will remain in the arenas of struggle until his physical freedom is achieved," he stressed.

In turn, the administrator in Schools Committee, Nouzha Saif al-Din, delivered a speech on behalf of Kongra Star, she explained that "the peoples who adopt the philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan as a path for them to reach freedom are impossible to retreat, no matter how escalating the attacks." "These attacks will not affect our will as women and people of resistance," she stressed.

Nouzha Saif al-Din criticized the position of humanitarian and human rights organizations and the Organization Against Torture (CPT) and held them responsible for the threats against the leader Ocalan, and called on them to carry out their responsibilities in this context.

In conclusion, she called on the people of NE Syria to step up the struggle to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan, and stressed, "The leader's freedom is our freedom."

The demonstration ended with the chanting of "Long live the leader's resistance", "There is no life without the leader".

Raqqa

In the context, the people of the city of Raqqa, members and members of the civil and military councils, political parties, members of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering, the Young Women’s Union, and the sheikhs and notables of the clans went out, during which they raised pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and a banner that reads, “The safety of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is the demand of free peoples, and whoever tries to offend him the people would considers that an assault."

The demonstration started in front of the children's hospital in the southern outskirts of the city of Raqqa, towards the firefighter's square, "the international conspiracy will fall", "there is no life without the leader", "Long live the leader Abdullah Ocalan", the demonstrators observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs' souls, then a statement was read by lawyer Khaled Al-Hassan.

The statement considered the threatening messages "an attempt to assassinate the leader Ocalan, after all the violations committed against him by the fascist Turkish regime since his abduction, through the isolation imposed on him, and ending with the concealment of his health condition and the deprivation his relatives from visiting him."

The statement condemned " we express our full solidarity with the leader and with all those who oppose injustice and oppression."

The statement considered, "This assassination attempt is a disgraceful act targeting human values and a flagrant violation of human rights."

It added, "Here we must stand by him strongly, condemn these criminal acts, and strive to achieve justice and hold those responsible accountable. We reaffirm that the leader is a symbol of resistance and struggle for rights and justice, and that his sacrifices and ideas remain a source of inspiration for many around the world, so we will continue to support his just cause and work to reach for a peaceful and just solution that guarantees the rights of the components.

The statement urged, "The international community, human rights organizations and human rights defenders worldwide to move immediately to uncover the parties responsible for these reprehensible attempts and bring them to justice.

Another statement was made on behalf of the women of the city of Raqqa, which was read by the member of the General Council of the town of Karama, Alia Suleiman.

The statement indicated that the leader's right to send messages is banned, "as many messages were sent by his people, but they did not reach him, except when they wanted to send threatening messages, they reached Imrali without even a name or address."

The statement noted, "We are in a fateful stage, and we must step up the pace of our struggle and defend the thought and philosophy of the democratic nation and the thought of the leader because it is the way to salvation and access to safety."

The statement appealed to "the people to rise up in the face of Turkish fascism, and to have a will and a decision, as they did in the face of the plot that was hatched against the leader."
