"Participants in Conference of Religions and Beliefs came to search for common points"

A member of the Preparatory Committee for the Second International Conference of Religions and Beliefs explained that the participants in the conference opened the ways to search for more meeting points.

A member of the Preparatory Committee for the Second International Conference of Religions and Beliefs, Abd al-Rahman Badrakhan, evaluated the work of the conference. At first, he drew attention to the difference between the proceedings of the second and first conference held last year in NE Syria, under the title "Together We Spread the Message of Peace" and he said, "The conference has diversified with the remarkable participation of several different religious sects, and the whole world has realized the fact of convergence among them, so convening such forums brings opinions closer, unites ideas, and consolidates civil peace and coexistence".

The Second International Conference of Religions and Beliefs was held in the city of Hasaka, under the title "By the brotherhood of religions, we advance human values", sponsored by the center of Religions and Beliefs of Mesopotamia in North and East Syria, on the 8th and 9th of July, in which more than 300 religious scholars and representatives of religious sects in NE Syria, the Middle East and the world participated in it.

Abd al-Rahman Badrakhan added, "Through this conference, the participants reached the mutual need between Muslims, Christians, Jews, and Yazidis. Therefore, we must dialogue and open the ways to search for points of commonality more than searching for points of difference.
