Popular discontent over threats against leader Ocalan

Thousands of residents of the Jazera region, from various components, denounced the threats against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, during statements and demonstrations that took place in the cities and districts of the region.

Thousands of the components of the Jazera region went out in mass demonstrations, expressing the extent of their indignation at the threats against the leader, and pledged to escalate the struggle for his freedom physical.

Hundreds of people from the components of the city of Qamishlo went out in a demonstration that started from Sony roundabout east of the city, and roamed its neighborhoods, amid chanting slogans saluting the resistance of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, "Long live the resistance of the leader", "There is no life without the leader", they also raised pictures of the leader during the demonstration.

Upon reaching the roundabout of Martyr Robar Qamishlo, the demonstration turned into a protest, after which the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in Jazera region, Mustafa Ahmed, addressed the demonstrators, saying: "Long live the resistance of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the resistance of all peoples for the sake of freedom."

Mustafa Ahmed pointed to the escalation of genocide policies and the special war being pursued against the peoples, in the person of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and continued: "The arrival of threatening messages to the leader means the continuation of the plots being hatched against the resistant peoples."

"They are trying to break the people's will with the person of the leader, because he represents humanity and democracy," he added.

He pointed to the continuation of the revolutionary movements, despite "all the filthy policies pursued by the fascist Turkish state, which aims to break the will of free peoples."

He explained: "The leader's philosophy is the only savior for the peoples of the region, so today we see the equality of components; the Kurds, Arabs, Circassians, Syriacs and Turkmens in the arenas of struggle.

Mustafa criticized the duplicitous positions of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT), and called on it to do its duty towards the leader.

At the end of his speech, he stressed: "From here, from the arenas of struggle and resistance, in my name and in the name of the peoples of NE Syria, we affirm that there is no life without the leader, and with the spirit of the leader's resistance in Imrali, we will escalate our struggle until leader physical freedom is achieved."

Hasaka

This morning, thousands of the components of the city of Hasaka took part in a demonstration, condemning the threatening letters that the Turkish state and the Imrali prison administration delivered to the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration started in Tal Hajar neighborhood of the city, heading towards the roundabout of the Assyrian Church. During which the demonstrators carried pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and a banner reading "The freedom of the leader Apo is an affirmation of democracy and regional stability", amid chanting slogans and chants calling for the freedom of the leader and denouncing the practices of the Turkish occupation state.

The demonstration turned into a vigil with the arrival of the demonstrators to the roundabout of the Assyrian Church, and there it began to stand for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then several speeches were delivered, beginning with the speech of the Autonomous Administration, in which the deputy of the co-presidency of the Hasaka Canton Council, Farouk Tuzu, focused on the attempt of the hostile forces to Foremost of which is the Turkish occupation state, undermining the will of the indigenous peoples in the region by practicing crimes and extermination policies against them.

For her part, the administrator of the Council of Martyrs' Families in the city of Hasaka, Zozan Kul, noted that the Turkish occupation state is isolating the leader Abdullah Ocalan to silence the voice of freedom and democracy and to eliminate the Kurdistan Freedom Movement.

She added, "The Turkish occupation state is preventing the family and lawyers of the leader Abdullah Ocalan from meeting with him, because it fears his philosophy."

Zozan added, "The CPT is far from its basic principles and duties due to its complicity with the Turkish occupation state."

She sent a message to the whole world at the end of her speech, "The Turkish occupation state threatens the leader Abdullah Ocalan with poisoning him. If the life of our leader is endangered, we will turn the life of the world into hell, because we have no life without the leader.

The vigil ended with chanting slogans calling for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and denouncing the practices of the Turkish occupation state.

Dêrik

In the city of Dêrik, hundreds of residents and members of civil institutions and councils took part in a demonstration.

The demonstration started from Freedom Square, amidst the participants, next to the pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, raising banners reading "There is no life without the leader", "The freedom of the leader Apo is the freedom of the people," and roamed the main streets in the district.

After the demonstrators arrived in the center of the central market in Dêrik, the member of the Democratic Union Party, Hussein Ali, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the escalation of the struggle until achieving the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed, "Let the enemies of the people know well that the leader's philosophy is a basic principle for us."

In her turn, the administrator of Kongra Star in Dêrik, Shadia Youssef, said: "taking the squares is an expression of national cohesion towards the pressures, isolation and threats of leader Ocalan by the fascist Turkish state."

Tal Brak

In the same context, the Tal Brak district council organized a demonstration that started in front of the automatic oven in the south of the district and its front, amid raising pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading "The freedom of leader is the freedom of peoples", "Freedom and justice for the leader Abdullah Ocalan" amidst the complete closure of commercial shops .

After reaching the center of the district, the demonstrators observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then, member of the district council, Yamama Al-Mahmoud, denounced the international silence regarding the tightening of isolation and torture against the leader Abdullah Ocalan. She called for an escalation of the struggle until achieving leader's physical freedom."

In another speech delivered by the member of the Schools Committee in the district of Tal Brak, Muhammad Zaidan, during which he referred to the steadfastness of the people in front of all policies that target their will and leader.

"With our pens, we will stand before the barrels of guns and the private war policies that are being waged against our regions and our leader," he stressed.

Tal Tamr

In Tal Tamr district of Hasaka canton, a demonstration took place this morning, condemning the threatening letters delivered by the Turkish state authorities to the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration started in front of the Martyrs' Families Council to stand in the martyr Sidar neighborhood in the center of the district, and there were two speeches delivered by the co-chair of the Tal Tamr district council, Muhammad Saeed, and the administrator of Kongra Star Ayhan Younis.

Darbasiyah

In a related context, hundreds of residents of Al-Darbasiyah district in the province took part today in a mass demonstration, condemning the threats that leader Abdullah Ocalan received in Imrali prison.

The demonstration started in front of the Hajj Sultan Mosque in the district, and headed towards the Central Market Street, amidst the participants chanting slogans such as "There is no life without the leader" and "Long live the leader Apo."

Upon their arrival at the Central Market Street, they paused for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the district, Muhammad Khalaf, delivered a speech in which he said: the leaser is resisting in the occupation prisons for the freedom of peoples, and the Turkish occupation state is trying in various ways to eliminate peoples through the leader.”

He added, "The Turkish occupation state sends death threats to leader and we as peoples will cut off the hand of anyone who tries to harm the leader's health."

While the member of Kongra Star in the Ad-Darbasiyah district, Hougen Herz, in turn, denounced the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the sending of threats to the leader.

Stressing that the leader Abdullah Ocalan is the will of the free peoples, "we will go out to the squares and resist against Turkish fascism until the leader's physical freedom is achieved."

The demonstration ended with chanting of slogans saluting the leader's resistance.

Girê Legê

As for the district of Girê Legê, the district council condemned the threats against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, during a statement read in both Kurdish by the co-chair of the Schools Department in Girê Legê, Lama Hussein, and in Arabic by the member of the health committee in the council, Abd al-Razzaq Shehadeh al-Salem.

The statement was read in the presence of female members and members of civil society institutions, the Council of Martyrs' Families, and representatives of political parties and military forces, in Martyr Khabat Square located at the entrance of the district.

The statement began by referring to the efforts of the fascist Turkish state to annihilate the Kurds in the person of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and continued: "The Turkish occupation state's insistence on continuing to impose and tighten isolation and sending a threat of the possibility of poisoning the leader Abdullah Ocalan is nothing but a continuation of the policy of annihilating the Kurds in a deliberate and systematic way under the sight of the so-called humanitarian organizations, headed by the Organization Against Torture.

The statement stressed that the Turkish occupation state seeks to strike the resistance and steadfastness of the leader, and considered the threatening messages delivered to him "contrary to international morals and norms."

In conclusion, he called on the components of NE Syria to rally around the leader Ocalan and raise the pace of struggle and resistance in order to achieve his physical freedom.
